The Life of Our Lord
The book that inspired To Begin With.
Charles Dickens wrote this adaptation of the Gospels for his children, not intending it for publication. For eighty-five years, it was a precious family secret, but after the death of Charles' last child, the family decided to publish it.
Gerald Charles Dickens, a great-great-grandson of the writer (who performs in To Begin With) wrote the Introduction. We'll also include an introductory note from Dr. Gary Colledge, one of the foremost scholars on Dickens and Christianity.
